This oil is super strong! When i got it in the mail I could smell it as soon as I opened the package, and the bottle was sealed. It has a very potent garlic smell. The smell of this oil is much stronger than the smell of garlic you use in cooking. If you don't like the smell of garlic then you won't like this oil. However if you can get past the strong smell then you will get some great benefits from this oil. I would not distill this oil. All that will do is fill up the room with a very strong and not so nice smell. It's best to use this oil on your body with a carrier oil. I would say always use a carrier oil with this oil, you can even add other oils to help with the potent smell. Because this oil is so strong you may have a bad reaction on your skin if you don't dilute it. You can use 2 drops of garlic oil in 1 ounce of carrier oil, shake very well every time you're going to use it. You can rub it on the bottom of your feet. That is the quickest way for the oil to penetrate through your skin and enter your body. You can also use it right on the problem area. Garlic oil has antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-hypertensive properties and can be used to help with things like, to prevent infections, treat colds, bronchitis, ear infections, acne, relieve coughing, reduce fever, control high blood pressure, build up the immune system, tick bites, bacterial and fungal infections, bug bites, headaches and stress. I am sure there are more things, it really has many possibilities. Just remember to use it with a carrier oil. It can be a bit hard to get past that strong smell but if you do, you will be very happy that you did. Really a must for your oil collection. Recommended!
